How to transfer your GoDaddy domain to tasjeel.ae

This guide explains how to transfer a GoDaddy domain name, such as a .com, .net or .info domain, to tasjeel.ae.

Before transferring your GoDaddy domain

Make sure the domain is eligible for transfer and that its registrant email address is up to date. GoDaddy may prevent a transfer within 60 days of a new registration, a previous transfer or certain registrant contact changes.

Step 1: Get the GoDaddy authorisation code

1. Open your GoDaddy Domain Portfolio and sign in.
2. Select the domain you want to transfer.
3. Under Transfer, select Transfer to Another Registrar.
4. Review the transfer checklist and select Continue with transfer.
5. Complete any identity verification requested by GoDaddy.
6. Select Click here to see Authorization Code.
7. Copy the authorisation code, also called an Auth Code, EPP Code or transfer key.

Step 2: Start the transfer with tasjeel.ae

1. Go to the tasjeel.ae domain transfer page.
2. Select the option to transfer your domain.
3. Enter the domain name and the authorisation or EPP code.
4. Add the transfer to your basket and complete checkout.
5. Log in to your tasjeel.ae client area, or create an account if you are a new customer.

Step 3: Approve the domain transfer

Transfer approval emails may be sent to the domain’s registrant or administrative contact. Follow the instructions in these emails as soon as possible.

Generic domain transfers commonly take five to seven days. Most paid generic domain transfers include a one-year extension to the domain’s existing expiry date, although rules can vary by domain extension.

Please note: A transfer can fail or expire if it is not approved within the required period.
