Set up email in classic Outlook

Add your Tasjeel.ae mailbox to classic Outlook on Windows: Outlook 2016, 2019, 2021, 2024 or the Outlook that comes with Microsoft 365.

Which Outlook do I have?

Before you start

You’ll need your email address, your mailbox password and your server name. See Email settings: server names and ports.

Add your mailbox

1. Click File, then Add Account

   In Outlook, click File at the top left. On the Info page, click Add Account.

   

2. Type your email and choose manual setup

   Type your full email address. Click Advanced options, tick Let me set up my account manually, then click Connect.

   

3. Choose IMAP

   Under Advanced setup, click IMAP. Don’t choose Microsoft 365 or Exchange: your Tasjeel.ae email isn’t Exchange.

   

4. If Outlook asks for your servers, fill them in

   Outlook often finds your settings by itself and skips this. If it shows Incoming mail and Outgoing mail, enter your server name, port 993 with SSL/TLS for incoming, and port 465 with SSL/TLS for outgoing, then click Next.

   Server name or mail.yourdomain.ae?

   Use mail.yourdomain.ae only if your domain points to your Tasjeel.ae hosting. Use your server name (such as finyaan.tasjeel.ae) if any of these apply: your website is hosted somewhere else (such as Shopify or Wix) · your domain uses Cloudflare · your DNS is managed outside Tasjeel.ae · your app says it can’t verify the server or its certificate. Whichever you choose, use the same one for incoming and outgoing.

5. Type your password

   Enter your mailbox password and click Connect.

   

6. Finish

   You’ll see Account successfully added. Untick Set up Outlook Mobile on my phone, too unless you want it, then click Done. Your mailbox appears in the folder list on the left.

   

Check or change your settings later

Click File › Account Settings › Account Settings…, select your email address and click Change…. Here you can update your password or switch to your server name.
