Email settings: server names and ports

2 minute readUpdated 19 Oct 2026

Everything your phone or computer needs to send and receive email with your Tasjeel.ae mailbox, and which server name to use.

The settings

Setting What to enter
Username Your full email address, such as [email protected]
Password Your mailbox password
Incoming server (IMAP) Your server name (see below) · port 993 · SSL/TLS
Outgoing server (SMTP) The same server name · port 465 with SSL/TLS, or port 587 with STARTTLS (some apps, such as the iPhone, pick 587 by themselves; both work) · sign-in required, with the same username and password
Choose IMAP, not POP3.

IMAP keeps your email on the server, so it looks the same on your phone, your computer and webmail. POP3 downloads email to one device, and it can disappear from the others.

Which server name to use

Always works

Your server name

The name of the Tasjeel.ae server your mailbox is on, such as finyaan.tasjeel.ae. It works for every customer, whatever your domain’s settings.

Only sometimes

mail.yourdomain.ae

Works only when your domain points to your Tasjeel.ae hosting. If it doesn’t, your app can’t connect or shows a security warning.

Use your server name if any of these apply.

Your website is hosted somewhere else (such as Shopify or Wix) · your domain uses Cloudflare · your DNS is managed outside Tasjeel.ae · your app says it can’t verify the server or its certificate. In each case, mail.yourdomain.ae may point somewhere other than us, so use your server name instead.

Find your server name

  • In your hosting welcome email. We sent it when your hosting or email plan was set up.
  • In your browser when you’re in cPanel. Log in to cPanel and look at the address bar. The part before :2083 is your server name, such as finyaan.tasjeel.ae.
  • Ask us. Chat with us or open a ticket and we’ll tell you.

See your mailbox’s settings in cPanel

  1. Open Email Accounts

Log in to cPanel, then go to Email › Email Accounts.

  2. Click Connect Devices

Find the mailbox and click Connect Devices on its row. Under Mail Client Manual Settings you’ll see the username, servers and ports for that mailbox.

Connect Devices in cPanel. The incoming and outgoing server are shown here as mail.yourdomain.ae
Connect Devices in cPanel. The incoming and outgoing server are shown here as mail.yourdomain.ae
  3. Swap in your server name if needed

cPanel always shows mail.yourdomain.ae. If any of the warning points above apply to you, use your server name in its place.
