The owner is the person or company named on the domain at the registry, called the registrant. That can be different from the person who pays or manages the account. See Who owns your domain: the registrant and the account holder.

Common questions

Do I need documents to register?

No. Just your details as the owner.

What happens if I don’t renew?

The domain stops working on its expiry date. You can still renew it for a while after that. See My domain has expired.

Can I change the owner later?

Yes, with a signed request and confirmation from both the current and the new owner. See Move a domain to a new owner.

Can I move my .ae to another registrar?

Yes, any time. See Transfer a domain away from Tasjeel.ae.
