If you have an Etisalat domain that you want to manage through tasjeel.ae, this guide explains the transfer procedure for .ae and .emarat names held with Etisalat or Nic.ae. You need access to the domain’s listed email address, a valid Auth Code and permission to approve the request, so checking these details first can prevent long delays or rejection.
Before You Transfer Your Etisalat Domain
Confirm that the domain is active and that you can receive messages through its listed email address, because the registry or registrar may use that address for the Auth Code and transfer approval. If the contact details are wrong or the mailbox is blocked, contact Etisalat or Nic.ae and complete their ownership checks before you start the transfer.
A domain move changes the company in charge of the registration, but it does not move your website files, hosting package, email accounts or DNS records by itself. Keep the nameservers the same so that those services can stay live while your Etisalat domain is moved.
Get the .ae Domain Auth Code
Each .ae or .emarat transfer needs an Auth Code, which may also be called an EPP Code, transfer code or domain password; get it through the official aeDA site:
- Visit the official aeDA Registry Portal and select the option for recovering a domain password.
- Enter the full .ae or .emarat domain name, pass the security check and follow the steps on screen.
- Check the email address on the domain record, including its spam folder, and keep the Auth Code private.
If the code does not arrive, check that the domain was entered correctly and request it again after a short wait; Tasjeel cannot change details held by the current registrar, so contact Etisalat or Nic.ae if the listed address needs correction.
Submit the Transfer to tasjeel.ae
After you have the Auth Code, start the Etisalat domain transfer through tasjeel.ae:
- Open the tasjeel.ae domain transfer page and enter the full domain name without
www. - Enter the Auth Code exactly as received, then add the transfer to your basket.
- Complete checkout and respond promptly to any approval message sent to the listed email address.
- Track the request until the domain appears as active in your tasjeel.ae account.
Transfers of .ae and .emarat domains to tasjeel.ae are free, and the current expiry date stays the same because the transfer does not renew the domain; most approved requests finish within about 48 hours, although the process can sometimes require up to three working days.
Will Your Website and Email Stay Online?
Your website and email should remain available if the nameservers and DNS records stay the same, so save a copy of your DNS records as a safe step. Do not cancel Etisalat hosting, email or related services until the transfer is done and you have confirmed that each service still works.
After the transfer, sign in to tasjeel.ae and review the expiry date, owner details, nameservers and contact details shown for the domain. Once everything is correct, you can manage your Etisalat domain with your other tasjeel.ae services and contact the support team if you need help.
