What anyone can see in WHOIS

1 minute readUpdated 19 Oct 2026

WHOIS (or RDAP) is the public lookup for domain names. Here’s what it shows about your domain, and what stays private.

Usually public

Anyone can see

  • The registrar (for example Tasjeel.ae)
  • Registration and expiry dates
  • Nameservers
  • Status, such as “transfer locked” or “on hold”
Usually private

Hidden from the public

  • The owner’s email address and phone number
  • The owner’s street address
  • Your Tasjeel.ae account details
  • Your invoices and services

What exactly is shown depends on the domain ending. Some show the owner’s name or company; most hide personal contact details.

What we share

We only ever confirm what a public whois lookup shows. We don’t tell anyone whose account a domain is in, its renewal settings or any other private details, unless they’re the account holder.

Want to contact a domain’s owner?

Look up the domain on a public whois service. Many show a contact form or a privacy email that forwards to the owner.
